Union Bank Announces 2026 Promotions and Officer Appointments


Grand Rapids, Michigan – April 9, 2026 – Union Bank is pleased to announce the recent promotions of Derek Dickinson and Russell Wigent, along with the appointment of Ashley Piselli to Officer.

Derek Dickinson has been promoted to Vice President, Director of Credit. Dickinson joined the Bank in June 2012 and has played an integral role within the Credit Department. In this expanded role, he will oversee the Special Assets Group in addition to leading the Bank’s credit operations. This promotion recognizes his strong leadership, deep expertise and consistent contributions to strengthening credit practices and supporting the Bank.

Russell Wigent has been promoted to Commercial Portfolio Manager. Since joining Union Bank in June 2024, he has played a key role in evaluating credit requests, preparing underwriting for complex loans, mentoring Junior Credit Analysts and supporting lending decisions through financial analysis and industry research. In his new role, Wigent will provide oversight of an assigned commercial loan portfolio assisting commercial bankers on credit administration, portfolio risk management and the ongoing performance of client relationships.

Ashley Piselli has been appointed Deposit Operations Manager, Officer. Since joining the Bank in 2022, she has held roles of increasing responsibility and currently oversees Deposit Operations and Electronic Services. In this capacity, she plays a key role in ensuring efficiency, accuracy and compliance while supporting frontline teams and delivering a strong customer experience. This appointment recognizes her leadership, operational expertise and consistent contributions to the Bank’s success.
