Union Bank is proud to offer a scholarship program to the graduating class of 2020. The UB scholarship program was established 20 years ago to highlight and celebrate young adults that have not only shown dedication to their education, but also the community that they grew up in.  This scholarship is aimed towards young adults that want to further their skills and education in fields that support our brand of individuals and business that make, build and grow for a living.   
Union Bank will be awarding various scholarships to based on the number of qualified applications.

Application Requirements

  • Must be a 2020 graduating high school senior that is graduating from a school district that is within Union Bank's service market. 
  • Must be enrolled in a University, Community college or a Vocational college/training program for the fall of 2020.

Scoring Criteria 

  • Demonstration of community involvement and leadership skills.
  • Demonstration of dedication to learning and education.
  • Not required, but preference will be given to applicants that fit within Union Bank's mission of serving Michiganders that have a passion and careers in fields where they make, build and grow for a living. 
  • Applicant or parents of the applicant are customers of Union Bank, however this is not a requirement. 


  • Application deadline is May 31, 2020
  • Completed application will include: scholarship application, two letters of recommendation from non-family, a copy of academic transcripts and a short essay (250-500 words) answering the question "where do you see yourself in 10 years?"
