Union Bank Announces Michael Keast as VP, Commercial Relationship Manager
Grand Rapids, Michigan – October 11, 2021 – Tim Doyle, Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer of Union Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Keast, Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager. In his new role, Keast will focus on expanding the Banks' commercial market share within West and Central Michigan, focusing on commercial and industrial companies, commercial real estate and provide business owners a consultative approach and the tools needed for business growth.
Keast joins the organization with close to 20 years of financial institution experience primarily within the West Michigan Area. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Seidman School of Business at Grand Valley State University. Prior to entering the world of banking and finance, Keast served as an Infantry Squad Leader in the United States Marine Corps. A combat decorated veteran, Keast served his country from 2000 – 2004. Today, he is active in his community and is a member of: West Michigan Veteran Collation (Treasurer); Ella Bullis Foundation (Board Member); Grand Valley State University Alumni Association; Mid-Michigan Banking Group; Association for Corporate Growth and West Michigan Chapter -VFW along with several civic memberships.
Keast is a proud member of the Ada community where he resides with his wife Sarah (a senior commercial interior designer with Steelcase) and four living children – Ren, Evelyn, Ruby, and Calvin. Together they have one daughter who passed away at birth, Dorothy Bell, who they continue to honor through their non-profit involvement.
Keast will be based in Ada, until completion of the new Union Bank Corporate Office which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2022 at 670 Cascade W Parkway SE in Grand Rapids.
