Union Bank Donates to Local Organization Providing Weekend Meals for Children

Ada, Michigan – July 22, 2020 – Union Bank of Michigan has made a $500 donation to Hand2Hand, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Hudsonville, Michigan, delivering hope to hungry children by mobilizing schools and churches to provide nutritious food over the weekends.

"Hand2Hand provides nutritious weekend food to 8,007 kids, ages 3-18, in 206 schools throughout West Michigan. Thank you, Union Bank, for linking arms with us to ensure kids have food over the long 68 hours of the weekend when child hunger is a silent thief to thousands of kids,” said Cheri Honderd, Founder and Executive Director of Hand2Hand. “Hand2Hand is a grassroots movement that is focused on ending child weekend hunger by partnering with our many generous churches, schools, businesses, and volunteers! Together we can end child weekend hunger and give kids a better opportunity to reach their full, God-given potential, right here in West Michigan!"
